Artist Biography
Annika is a multimedia visual artist, tattooist, photographer/filmmaker, and writer based between New York and Berlin.
Recurring topics within Annika’s creative practice include human, animal, and environmental relationships; climate change and environmental justice; anticapitalism; queerness; disability justice; and constructions of reality and selfhood in a technologized world.
Annika received their Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia Storytelling and States of Consciousness–an interdisciplinary degree combining filmmaking, psychology, philosophy, multimedia art, and writing–from New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study. Annika was awarded Gallatin Honors for exceptional thesis work in climate storytelling, intersectional environmentalism, and disability justice.
